Who We Are

Adult Activity Center (AAC)

Having the right support during life’s biggest transitions is essential for everyone. Since its inception, The Center for Pursuit has provided services and programs to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and autism, and their families face life changes with the proper guidance and resources.

The Center for Pursuit’s Adult Activity Center (AAC) provides interactive activities in a group setting for individuals who have transitioned from high school through adulthood. Participants who attend AAC may have medical needs, require assistance with their activities of daily living, or need more general support. Our instructors are trained and skilled professionals who provide support for these needs to make every individual feel comfortable to take ownership of their independence.

What We Do

Onsite and Offsite Activities

Each participant in AAC is invited to interact in crafts, games, group activities, movies, stories, cooking, and other forms of fun daily. They can also choose to engage with the world around them by getting involved in offsite community activities. Each activity builds the essential life skills they need in everyday life. Life skills activities are also a component of the AAC for participants to learn lessons that can be applied every day.

Skills Lab

Skills Lab, is a hub that provides assistance for several tasks that help individuals enhance their life and pre-vocational skills. Participants will have the opportunity to use the Skills Lab during the day while at the day service program.
